The Supervision Hub: Supervision for Supervisors
Join us for a 90-minute online training where we will explore ethical issues in supervision and strategies for addressing them with supervisees. Led by experienced facilitator Duane Smith,the session will cover key ethical considerations and reporting requirements, followed by a Q&A and discussion of real-life scenarios. Suitable for both seasoned supervisors and those new to the role, this session offers practical insights and strategies to enhance your supervision practice, regardless of whether you’re working with new graduates or experienced clinicians.

About the Trainer: Duane Smith
Duane is a Clinical & Counselling Psychologist, Supervisor and trainer. Duane has facilitated Board Approved Supervisor (BAS) Full Training and Masterclasses all over Australia, and Internationally in Indonesia. Duane is a fellow with the APS College of Counselling Psychology and is the current Executive Chair of the Association of Counselling Psychologists.
Duane has been practicing for over 30 years, and supervising for over 20 years, including 4+2, 5+1, Masters program placement students, and Area of Practice Endorsement (Counselling and Clinical Psychologists). Duane has a passion for supervision and specializes in reflective and deliberate practice principles with all his supervisees.
Duane is currently the Clinical Director of The Henry Street Centre in Fremantle, and STREAM Psychology Pty Ltd. Duane manages a team of 15 psychologists at The Henry Street Centre which provides psychological and assessment services with the provision of 12-15,000 Medicare MHCP appointments per year.
Over the past 20 years STREAM Psychology has provided group and individual clinical supervision and specialized training and clinical/operational manuals and model of care consultation to many agencies in WA including Youth Focus, St Johns Horizon House, CPFS, WANSLEA Family Service, PICYS, Safe Places for Children, St Johns Ambulance (WA), Mission Australia and Headspace.
